What You'll Review#

Everything from the adjective block:

• い-adjective forms — present, negative, past, past negative
• いい → よ stem — the rebel that becomes よく in every form except present
• な-adjectives — conjugated through です, じゃない, でした, じゃなかった
• 〜くなる — becoming, for い-adjectives
• 〜になる — becoming, for な-adjectives and nouns

The い-Adjective Chain (小さい)#

One rule. Drop the い. Attach the new ending. Four forms from a single stem.

The Rebel: いい#

The present tense is いい. The moment you change form, the old よ stem comes back.

The な-Adjective Chain (静か)#

な-adjectives don't conjugate themselves — the endings hang off です instead. All the pieces come from earlier episodes.

Becoming: 〜くなる / 〜になる#

Transformation. For い-adjectives, drop the い and add くなる. For な-adjectives, attach になる.
